Pastel Giraffes Grades K-5

The kids loved making these giraffes.... but they are a very awkward animal to create. Because they are all legs.... they are that way for real too, I had to keep reminding the kids about that when they felt worried about the legs. I think their giraffes turned out wonderful!

Materials:

Dark Paper

Pencils/Erasers

Chalk Pastels

I did a demo giraffe on the dry erase board, and the students copied the basic shape.  Then I told them to be creative and make their giraffes special in their own artistic way.  They had fun with the colors!
